When it comes to commission, don’t expect your agent to make a ‘deal.’

Just a year or two ago, if you could get one offer on your house within 60 days, that was a home run. Now, if you have a reasonable home in a reasonable area that’s in a ‘sweet spot’ price point, you can expect as many as 10 offers in 48 hours. That means you as a seller should get a deal commission-wise, right? After all, your agent only had to work for a couple of days as opposed to, say, three months. Well, actually that’s not the case, and today I’ll tell you why.
